Tuesday 30th
What the butler saw a highly entertaining talk by Dr Bob France followed by a sumptuous tea in the Church of the Resurrection Hall at 2pm. Steadman, Petworth’s Georgian Butler, shares his experience and some of the things that he probably should not have seen! Explore the secrets of the wine cellar and the eccentricities of drinking and dining etiquette during Georgian times, and much more. Thursday 1st
Gardening Club Meeting at 7.30pm at St Andrew's Church Hall, Farlington. This month there will be another interesting talk by Brian Kidd on “How it all started”.There will be a raffle, refreshments and a plant stall. Members 50p Non-members £1. (PO6 1AA)
 
Saturday 10th
The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre's Christmas Fayre at Drayton United Church, Large Hall from 10.30am – 1.30pm. Lots of new gifts, jewellery, Christmas items, refreshments and lots more.  £1 entry includes a tea or coffee. Proceeds are in aid of the Centre which provides a rescue and re-homing facility for cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. (PO6 1PA)
 
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th.
Honouring Farlington’s Fallen. St Andrew’s Church, Farlington, (PO6 1AA) and the Church of the Resurrection, Drayton, (PO6 2AP) will be holding events in conjunction with Splodge Designs, the University of the Third Age and Year 5 pupils from Solent Junior School honouring the local people who died in the First World War. Wednesday 14th
“The Honey Man”. Friends of Portsdown Hill present a talk by Roy Godfrey about bee-keeping and making honey at the Church of the Resurrection Hall, Drayton at 7.45pm. Samples will be for sale. Thursday 15th
Three Course Meal (with drink on arrival and coffee) at 12 noon at Southdown College, Waterlooville  (PO7 8AA). This charity event in aid of the Drayton and Farlington Action Group is always popular and the number of tickets is limited so get in early. Saturday 17th
A Table Top Sale at St Andrews Hall, Farlington from 10am to noon. This is a Springfield School African Adventure Fundraising event. £5 per table. 50p admission for buyers (children under 10 free). Flu Vaccinations at the Drayton Surgery
